More about Dr. James E. Dale, DVM, MPH, MBA, GCVHS, DACVPM:
Dr. Dale is a veterinarian with Masters Degrees in Public Health and Business. He is the Director, Environmental Health for Jefferson County Public Health. He assumed this position in May of 1999.
Jim was raised on a small stock farm in south central Kansas where he learned to value the land, open spaces, hard work and family. He is a 30-year Air Force veteran/retired Colonel and was stationed at many locations around the world. Jim’s final assignment was as Chief, Prevention Operations in the Office of the Air Force Surgeon General at Headquarters Air Force. He has served on numerous Environmental and Public Health Boards around the state and the nation.
He has served the City of Golden as a Planning Commissioner and Chair plus as member of the Citizen’s Budget Advisory Committee and Visitor’s Center Board. He is a graduate of Leadership Golden, Leadership Jefferson County, and the Bighorn Leadership Development program. Recently Jim received distinguish service awards from the Colorado Public Health Association, Colorado Environmental Health Association, Colorado Professionals in Onsite Wastewater, Leadership Jefferson County, and the American Public Health Association.
He enjoys many sports, traveling, reading, and plays golf when he gets a chance. He and his wife LouAnne have two adult children, two grandchildren, and love living in Golden.
